At the Annual General Meeting in 2008, authorized public accountants George Pettersson (auditor) and Joakim Thilstedt (deputy auditor), both of KPMG, were elected as auditor and deputy auditor for a period of four years.
Internal routines and control systems are examined on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Examination and audit of the annual accounts and annual report take place in January-February. The six-monthly report is examined on a general basis. Hufvudstaden has not set up a separate audit committee and instead the whole of the Board of Directors is responsible for audit matters. During 2009, the auditors reported to the Board of Directors on two occasions, in February and August.
In addition to the audit assignment, Hufvudstaden has consulted KPMG with regard to tax and audit matters. The amounts paid to KPMG are given in the Annual Report for 2009, Note 9, page 74.
