Quality and the environment

Hufvudstaden shall have a quality and environmental system that ensures the highest level of quality possible in all the company's products and services.

Hufvudstaden's vision is to lead development in the property industry towards an environmentally sustainable society. Operations shall be directed towards overall environmental objectives which assure the orientation of the environmental work process. The strategy is to select measures which help to achieve the environmental objectives, increase profitability and facilitate future improvements.

Robur AB has decided to approve Hufvudstaden for Robur's ethical funds, including Robur's Ethics and Environment Fund, which only invests in Swedish companies which are the leaders in their sector in terms of environmental and social issues, the reasons being:

It is Hufvudstaden's ambition to offer its customers the best service on the market and to see clearly improved business potential through the added value generated by a high environmental standard. Hufvudstaden works on a long-term basis and on a broad front with environmental issues and has achieved good results over the years. Through its work with the internet-based database MilaB (Miljöbedömningar av Byggvaror) Hufvudstaden is contributing to environmentally adapting the whole of the property industry and the construction industry, particularly through the demands on contractors to use MilaB. It has taken a long time for the company to establish an environmental management system for the whole group and it is not yet in place fully. There are, however, environmental routines and allocation of responsibility for the most central functions, such as letting and adaptation of premises.
